Dine at the Club
Over the years the Royal Northern and University Club has earned a reputation for fine dining in handsome surroundings, recalling a gracious, less hurried era
The service in the main Dining Room assures Members and guests that the age of elegance lives on as a Club tradition. Menus cater for all tastes and appetites from business luncheons to formal dinners.
Members can entertain family, friends and business colleagues in the stylish Reynolds Room, in the privacy of the Library, or in the delightful Garden Room, which faces on to the private garden. The Club prides itself on the wide selection of fine wines from around the world, of which many come from the Club's special reserves, and which are offered to Members at highly favourable rates.
Breakfast
A freshly cooked full Scottish breakfast is available between 07.30 and 09.30 Monday - Friday, with Continental options also offered.
A full Scottish breakfast is available for houseguests on Saturdays and Sundays.
Lunch
Lunch is served in the Dining Room between 12.00 and 14.00, Monday to Friday. Our lunch menu changes every fortnight, but Club Favourites including Haddock and Chips, Mince and Tatties, and our popular cold buffet are always available.
Dinner
A la Carte dinner service is available between 18.00 and 20.00, Monday-Saturday. Spoil yourself, friends and family or impress clients with the fine dining experience at the Club, complemented by a choice from our extensive wine list. The Reynolds Room, Garden Room and Library may be booked for private parties. If you have theatre tickets and would like to dine at an earlier hour, we would be delighted to arrange this for you.
Bar
The Club has a fully stocked bar with a wide selection of wines, spirits, liqueurs, local beers, and soft drinks. Take advantage of our fantastic city centre location with a drink on your way home or before an evening in town. The private patio is a superb location to enjoy any fine weather with a drink in your hand.
Club Nights
Throughout the year the Club holds various events for Members and guests. Fine dining, themed dining, drink tastings, musical evenings, and speakers’ events are a mainstay of the Club’s calendar. Please consult the Members’ Section for a list of our upcoming events.
Members’ Private Events
